* You will receive your King & Queen of Ink wristband from the admissions desk – never remove your wristband without seeing a member of the King & Queen staff at the Admissions counter for proper removal
THERE IS NO REASON TO REMOVE YOUR WRISTBAND. AGAIN… Keep wristbands on at all times.
Only remove your wristband by yourself if you plan on leaving. 
ATTENTION: See Admissions to remove your wristband if necessary, e.g., getting tattooed on that area of your wrist.
Removed or lost wristbands are subject to a full re-entry fee
Do not remove your wristband at any time. You must buy a new wristband to gain readmission to the Expo if you have lost or removed yours. If you need to adjust or remove your wristband, see a Kings & Queens staff member at  Admissions.

Kings And Queens Tattoo Expo  Will have several different food vendors on site and great drinks!
Kings And Queens does not allow animals/pets inside the tattooing floor area due to public health and safety concerns. Service animals ONLY are permitted in areas where no tattooing, body piercing, or any open wounds are being performed or are present. Any aggressive animals, pets, or service dogs will not be allowed entry to protect the attendees and children in costumes, face paint, etc.

Anyone over 18 can get tattooed or pierced at the Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo! You must present a valid ID and sign a release form to get tattooed or pierced. And if you want to get tattooed by a specific artist, it is best to contact them beforehand; most artists are booked months in advance! Click this link to see the entire list of Attending Artists.
Yes, there are tattoo competitions every day that any future King or Queen can enter for only $15 per category. Click here for a complete listing of competitions.
HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. YOUR TATTOO ARTISTS FROM KINGS & QUEENS OF INK TATTOO EXPO SHOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU SPECIFIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS, BUT HERE ARE A FEW OF OUR RECOMMENDED STEPS TO HELP YOUR NEW TATTOO HEAL PROPERLY.

Follow these simple instructions to help your new tattoo heal best.

*Remove the Bandage after 2- 5 hours.

*Always wash your hands before touching your new tattoo.

*Wash Tattoo 2-3 times daily w/ Antibacterial Dial soap.

*Rinse the new tattoo with water & pat dry w/a clean towel.

*Allow 20-30 minutes to air dry before applying lotion.

*Apply a thin layer of Proper Tattoo Aftercare of your choice.

*Clean & Lotion new tattoo 3-5 times daily for two weeks.

*Do NOT pick at scabs if present; wear clean, loose clothing.

*Do NOT soak in water, pool, or hot tub. Keep out of the sun.

*Always apply a SPF 30-50 if you are in prolonged sunlight.

We have an early artist set-up on Thursday from 5-8 pm. The remaining setup begins on Friday at 9 am and goes until noon. Doors will open at noon, so get in early to set up your booth. Please ensure you get your check-in packet, passes, and wristband at admissions when checking in at the Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo.
Bleeding Ink Tattoo Supply company will help keep you fully stocked on any items you need for tattooing and piercing. Your booth will have only one sharps container, a roll of paper towels, a trashcan, a 6ft table, two chairs, and distillation water.
Please do NOT break down early any night of the fest. We expect each artist to be courteous to the attendees coming each day by allowing them to admire your work and enjoy the expo. Every artist and vendor at the Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo is there to showcase their talent. Please respect the venue, do not destroy any property, and immediately report suspicious or unprofessional activity.
YES!!! Everyone tattooing or piercing must have a current license unless your state doesn’t require one. A First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogen certificate are required. See your local Red Cross for certification and classes, or visit www.icpri.com.
 Have your blood-borne pathogens certification with you, as the Health Board may ask to see it.

 * There are NO REFUNDS on presale tickets, admissions, raffles, seminars, or competitions!! *
* ENTER KINGS AND QUEEN OF INK TATTOO EXPO AT YOUR OWN RISK! If you are easily offended, please do not enter.
* No food or drinks are on tattoo artists’ tables; please respect the artists’ portfolios and don’t get food on or spill your drinks on the artists’ properties.
* Infants must be carried; please, no strollers due to heavy traffic congestion.
*An adult must accompany minors
 *Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo reserves the right to deny entrance to anyone we deem necessary.
*Kings And Queens reserves the right to expulsion from the convention at any time or for any reason without a refund
*Attendees must always wear wristbands; no wristband, no entry. Never share wristbands with anyone; this will be cause for expulsion. Artists must wear the Artist/Vendor Wristband and badge when entering or exiting the building.
*Violators of admission rules will be removed from the event without a refund.

KINGS AND QUEENS TERMS & CONDITIONS
***1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards KINGS AND QUEENS OF INK TATTOO EXPO TERMS & CONDITIONS will be given for all categories
 
***Contest registration is at the main stage before competitions.
 
***It will cost $15 to enter each category. The entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE!! Tattoo Of The Day is free to join!!
 
*** Please be sure to be present 30 minutes before competing. No refunds for no-shows!
 
***Tattoos must be FULLY HEALED to enter tattoo competitions, except for Tattoo Of The Day.
 
***Tattoo Of The Day tattoos must be cleaned appropriately and presentable (i.e., not seeping or bleeding).
 
***Tattoo Of The Day is free to enter! You must have your tattoo done by an attending Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo tattoo artist on the day of the fest.
 
***Tattoo of the Day will have only one trophy given daily.
*** Kings and Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo is not responsible for any damaged items entered in competitions or hurt feelings from competitors.
 
*** By entering  Kings and Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo Competitions, you release the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo of any legalities stemming from copyrighted tattoos, artwork, material, or anything regarding copyrighted tattoos, photographs, clothing, or anything else deemed copyrighted or trademarked.
*** Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo. are not legally responsible for attendees falsifying artist information upon registration or during competitions.
 
** If a tattoo artist or creator of tattoo artwork does not want their work to be entered in competitions, photographed, displayed, or any other visual appreciation at the Kings And Queens Tattoo Expo, it is their legal responsibility to let the client/ wearer know this and take appropriate actions to ensure that the client does not enter competitions. The client takes full responsibility for future legalities from such an issue and holds Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo harmless.

YOUR BOOTH APPLICATION MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 ARTISTS PER BOOTH; DOUBLE BOOTHS REQUIRE 4 WORKING ARTISTS
COMPLETE EVERY SECTION OF THE BOOTH REGISTRATION FORM, INCLUDING ALL ATTENDING ARTIST’S NAMES, MEMBER NAMES & WEBSITES
BE SURE TO FILL OUT EVERY LINE OF THE REGISTRATION FORM, INCLUDING YOUR WEBSITE, EVERY ATTENDING ARTIST’S NAME
YOU MUST  HAVE A WEBSITE OR ONLINE GALLERY. 
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS AND BASIC FIRST AID/CPR TRAINING RECORDS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TATTOO AT KINGS AND QUEENS TATTOO EXPO
THE BOARD OF HEALTH REQUIRES THAT ALL WORKING TATTOO ARTISTS AND PIERCER COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES AND HAVE ALL TRAINING RECORDS. 
EVEN IF YOU DON’T GET A BOOTH AT KINGS AND QUEENS OF INK TATTOO EXPO, STILL JOIN EVERYONE FOR A FUN EVENT WITH GOOD TIMES AND GREAT PEOPLE!
* All attending artists must abide by all local health regulations. These regulations are basic and pretty consistent with the health regulations in many other states:
* BE IN YOUR BOOTH WHEN THE DOORS OPEN EVERY DAY OF THE EXPO!! Please don’t stumble into your booth late after the doors have opened for the day!! 
* Please don’t break down your booth early on Sunday of the Expo until the Expo has completely ended. Breaking your booth down early is very disrespectful to the attendees and fellow artists at the Expo!!!
* Artists will be allowed to work late to finish up tattoos in progress, permitting only the artist and client to be present for the session. Sunday excluded.
* Attending Artists are responsible for following all Health Regulations required by the state, country, or city where the Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo is held.
*Attending Artists are responsible for collecting and maintaining all client release forms filled out by the artist and the client at Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo. Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo does not keep your personal client information; this is your legal responsibility as an attending artist.
* Artists must have all clients thoroughly read, fill out, and sign all release/ consent forms provided in their check-in packets.
* Artists must inform clients of care instructions and give clients aftercare instructions provided in their check-in packets.
* Gloves must always be worn when tattooing or piercing a client.
* Sharps containers must be used. Each booth will have a complimentary sharps container provided.
*All needles & razors must be appropriately disposed of in the sharps containers provided at your booth
* Pre-packaged, sterile instruments must be used during all tattooing and piercing procedures.
* bring enough disposable tubes and instruments to get you through the busy weekend.
* Anyone caught scrubbing tubes in public restrooms or hotel rooms will violate Ohio health codes and be asked to leave the festival and its premises.
BE SMART-BE SAFE!
* Suppliers will be present at the festival, so you can buy any necessary supplies.
*Paper towels will be for sale in the private artist area of the ballroom.
* Artists and piercers who are tattooing or piercing private areas (nipples and genitals) must have an enclosed/private area to do this in.
*The artist must comply with all needle agreements, care instructions, and client release forms.
*Artists must inform all clients how to heal their new tattoos.
*Artists must only bandage all new tattoos with lapcloths or dry-dock materials. No clear saran wrap!
* The hotel has asked that no private areas be visible while on the Ballroom floor; improper exposure will result in expulsion. If you are piercing female nipples or any genitals, you must have a private, enclosed booth.
* Board of Health fees must be pre-paid before working.
* No smoking in tattoo booths 
* Artists need to bring proof of practice insurance for Board of Health inspections if they have it.
* Artists must bring CPR & first aid certificates for Board of Health inspections before being allowed to work.
* Artists must bring bloodborne pathogens & cross-contamination prevention certificates for Board of Health inspections before being allowed to work.
* THURSDAY EARLY ARTISTS SET UP will be in the ballroom from 5-8 p.m.. This gives artists a chance to set up before the fest partially.
*ARTIST / PUBLIC MEET & GREET will be free & open to the public Thursday night after the artist’s early setup. This will allow HC artists to meet new clients and set appts. And meet artists attending.
In addition to your tattoo and piercing equipment, such as needles, machines, ink cups, etc., here is a list of items that should be available at each body art booth:
REQUIRED PAPERWORK
  • Certificates of training:
    • First aid; and
    • Bloodborne pathogen
  • Aftercare guidelines
  • Client consent forms
    • Records to include:
      • Patrons name
      • Patron’s address
      • Date of the service
      • Color(s), manufacturer, and lot number of all inks, dyes, and pigments
      • Jewelry used, including size, material composition, and manufacturer
      • Placement of the procedure
    • *Client records must be maintained for a minimum of 2 years
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR ALL ARTISTS
*A sufficient amount of supplies must be available to accommodate the entire event.
  • Sharps container
  • EPA-registered disinfectant
  • Gloves
    • * Petroleum-based products shall not be used in conjunction with latex gloves
  • Single-use razors for shaving
  • Single-use marking instruments
  • Soap, water, and antiseptic solution for cleaning procedure area
  • Single-use gauze squares, cotton balls or squares, or cotton swabs for washing completed tattoo
FOR TATTOO ARTISTS
  • Appropriate dressing
    • Sterile, non-occlusive, single-use dressing secured with non-allergenic tape
FOR BODY PIERCERS
  • Alcohol-free, antiseptic mouthwash for oral piercings
FACILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Accessible sink for handwashing
    • *Accessible means the sink or handwashing station can be easily reached without going through barriers or contaminating hands after washing
    • *Depending on the layout of the event, number of artists, and length of the event, more than one handwashing sink or station may be necessary
  • Total event space must be at least 100 sq ft
  • Each artist’s space must be at least 36 sq ft
  • Adequate lighting
    • May use spot lighting to achieve sufficient light
  • Floors must be waterproof, smooth, and washable
LIABILITY RELEASE FORM?
I, for myself, the studio, and associates do with this release forever discharge and agree to hold the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo harmless. Directors, agents, servants, contractors, and employees from any liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, sickness, or death, as well as property damages and expenses of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred by the undersigned that occur while said is participating in this event.  Furthermore, as a result, I assume all risks of personal and client injury, sickness, death, damage, and expense due to participation in this event.
I agree to examine and follow all pertinent laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations by the state and Kings And Queens.  I am responsible for all costs and liabilities from patented, trademarked, copyrighted, or served mark materials, equipment, processes, or creative rights.
Only the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo will display, license, sell, and merchandise all event items. Kings And Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo can approve or disapprove all displays, promotions, sales, or merchandising of my products or services. Anything that the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo dislikes will be removed from the premises and may be removed from the event.
I agree I own and have permission from my tattoo artist to display and have all tattoos photographed, videotaped, or otherwise documented for any purposes. By entering the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo, I agree to release all liability to any photographer within the premises that may capture and display the tattoo images or my likeness in any manner.
Illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, and racially or sexually offensive merchandise will not be permitted at this event.
I cannot sell, give, or offer for sale any pictures or accounting of this event for publication without the written permission of Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo. This includes any interviews or photo sessions not supplied by the Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo.
I am responsible for any taxable sales of services or products at this event.
Kings and Queens of Ink Tattoo Expo reserves the right to terminate the license/contract granted by this agreement for good cause, and in said event, I agree to waive and forego all claims for damages and recourse.
Each booth and artist is responsible for collecting their client’s Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo release form, provided in the care packet. Artists must hold on to these legal documents/release forms for at least three years. The artists are responsible for signing in every client as they are considered independent contractors and are responsible for any legal documents for their clients or business conducted at Kings And Queens Of Ink Tattoo Expo.
